The Aleph Intranet, Screens for the Build

This is the first version of the platform as agreed in TopNotch’s final proposal of 21 October, with Aleph’s feedback taken on board. Use the switch below to see it as a General Manager, as the team that publishes the standards, or as corporate. Every screen is clickable. The content is sample content and no live system sits behind this page.

    Purpose

Every VIP guest is recognised before arrival and welcomed in person by a senior member of the team.

    Scope

Front Office, Guest Relations, Housekeeping and the Duty Manager.

    Responsibilities

The Front Office Manager prepares the VIP list. Housekeeping inspects each VIP room. The Duty Manager greets the guest.

    Procedure
    1. By 16:00 the day before, the Front Office Manager shares the VIP arrival list with each guest’s known preferences.
    2. By 12:00 on the day, the room is inspected and signed off by Housekeeping.
    3. Registration is prepared in advance so the guest signs only once.
    4. The Duty Manager meets the guest at the entrance and greets them by name.
    5. Check-in is completed in the lounge or the room, never at the desk.
    6. A courtesy call is made within fifteen minutes of the guest reaching the room.
    Compliance

Checked daily on the Duty Manager checklist.

    Ask the library

Answers come only from the published standards you are allowed to see, always with a link to the source. If the library does not cover your question, it says so.

Works on a phone. Every question is logged, so corporate can see where the library has gaps.

    How The Aleph Hub works

    Estate-wide

Standards that apply to every hotel. One version, owned by corporate.

    Brand and tier

Standards for a brand, band or star tier, shown only where they apply.

    My hotel

A hotel’s own versions, seen by that hotel only and shown first.

You see the standards for the whole estate, for your hotel’s brand and tier, and your own hotel’s. Nothing else. Every standard is shown as the PDF the standards team exported from its approved Word file, in English or French. A printed or downloaded copy is stamped “uncontrolled copy” with your name and the date, because the current version always lives here.

When a standard is new or changed, you will see it on your home page and in a monthly email, and you confirm you have read it with one click. Fiona Stewart and Annette van Hout publish the standards. Every publication is recorded with name and date.

Standards team  ›  Upload and publish

    Upload and publish

Upload approved standards as PDFs in English and French, exported from Word, with the data file. Run a trial check, preview the drafts, then publish. There is no approval queue: Fiona or Annette publish directly, and every publication is recorded.

      What this page shows

The first module of the Aleph intranet: a standards library inside a proper intranet, with a home page, news, a who’s who, a benefits page and a question box that answers from the standards. It follows the scope in TopNotch’s final proposal of 21 October and the test list in its appendix B, using the two Morocco hotels.
